FONDS SABIEDRIBAI has become a member of the Latvian national network of the Anna Lindh Foundation

The foundation „FONDS SABIEDRĪBAI" has just become a member of the Latvian national network of the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The Anna Lindh Foundation brings together about 3000 organizations from 43 countries that make up the largest Euro-Med * (Euro-Mediterranean) network of organizations. It works with non-governmental organizations and universities, associations, public institutions, nonprofit organizations, municipalities and businesses.

Promoting intercultural dialogue the Anna Lindh Foundation supports initiatives between the EuroMed countries in cultural, scientific and social fields, contributes to a better understanding among people, religions and beliefs, trying to eradicate stereotypes, xenophobia and racism and protects human rights and democracy.

Emphasizing the central role of the Foundation in the Union for the Mediterranean, it should be mentioned that its long-term objective is to give people the opportunity to work together to promote intercultural dialogue and to create EuroMed region as an area of cooperation, mobility and peace.
In Latvian national network currently are operating 38 organizations.

*EuroMed the Mediterranean South and East Coast States: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Mauritania, Morocco, Tunisia, the Palestinian Authority and Turkey.
